"My family's love for outdoor activity has extended into our groves.
Many
of our groves were designed around ecologically diverse oak and pine
hammocks and endangered wetlands. You can see all types of wildlife in our
groves such as deer, turkey, hogs, a multitude of birds, and of course ...
alligators!
Many years back, a drainage ditch
was
dug through the ranch to drain and improve the land. About 8
years ago when we decided to plant a grove out there, we were confronted
with a water retention problem (a requirement
for
any grove). It was decided to return the land to its natural state and the
water was allowed to flood back into the lowland marshes. Nowadays, it is
truly one of the most beautiful wetlands on the ranch rich with wildlife."
