Minton Sun pays special attention to grove care because they know
the quality of their fruit rests upon the care it receives. Care in the
areas of cultivation, trimming, pruning, fertilizing, and watering of over
6,000 acres of the finest fruit producing land in the country make the
Minton Sun fruit truly something special. Approximately 75% of the Minton
Sun groves are located within the Indian River growing area along the
eastern coast of Florida. The Indian River is recognized throughout the
world for producing grapefruit with unsurpassed flavor and excellent
carrying ability (shelf life). Groves are also located throughout Florida
as indicated on the map. The groves located in Southern Florida mature
earlier than those located in the Indian River district which insures a
constant supply of mature citrus from September through July.
